Located in the well defined and picturesque private reserve
of Sierra Llorona, along The Nance's Trail wooded area, there
is an ideal place for relaxation, unwinding, or to enjoy
quality family camping time at its absolute best. Always
interacting and surrounded by Tropical Rain Forest .
During your stay choose from a variety of activities, all
within a very short walk from campsite. Everything from
touring the mountain Trails of "Los Nance's" day or night
(classified as moderate to high hiking over a variable
terrain, slippery and muddy), to an enjoyable day of swimming
at a near by river pool in the middle of the forest.
After enjoying a nice day in the jungle, get together at
night around the campfire with your loved ones and friends to
tell stories or to make them up, a perfect ending to your day
under the quiet starlight sky.
Camp Facilities
- A pre-colonial Indian style "rancho" with a thatch roof
and opened sides (no walls) with a "tabanco";
- Special "ground hole toilet" (compost type) with thatch
roof and walls;
- Camping-site for tents near el "rancho";
- Rustic stove for cooking with dry wood or charcoal under
thatch roof;
- Trees for hammock hanging;
- Camp-fire area;
- Trail marks for Night Walking;
- River pond for swimming
You will find at Camp Site
- A 10 x12 foot "Rancho" with a rustic stove for charcoal
or dry wood ready to ignite; a high "tabanco" to store or
sleep; 4 posts to hang hammocks;
- Many trees in the perimeter for hammocks (no roof);
- A bathroom at a 10 meter walk from el "Rancho";
- Shower and washing utensil areas;
- "Guarichas" for night lighting (kerosene type);
- Camp-fire area with enough stock-wood.
What To Bring
Come prepared for day temperatures between 27Cº to 32 Cº
with high humidity and probability of showers specially during
raining season, and night temperatures dropping from 26 Cº to
24 Cº. When camping at our campsite we recommend you to bring:
- Special and necessary utensils for eating and cooking on
charcoal or dry wood stove.
- Food, drinking water, ice.
- Bathrooms and dental ítems.
- Tents, sleeping bags, air mattresses, hammocks, pillows.
- Jackets, rain gear and appropriate cloths, swim suit and
boots.
- Camping lights (there is no electricity) Flashlights.
- Insect repellent and First Aid Kit (just in case).

- Rancho

a high wooden floor inside el "rancho" used
for storing, and good for sleeping;

a 6x4x6 foot hole in the ground
covered with concrete slap with a toilet sea
- Guarichas

used by locals where no electricity is available.
